This Thursday an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was recorded in Morocco. It is the strongest aftershock since the earthquake that occurred in the same place last Friday, which caused the death of almost three thousand people.
The earthquake occurred in the town of Ighil, near Marrakech, at a depth of 9.7 kilometers, according to the EFE agency.

The September 8 earthquake reached a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale, according to Morocco’s National Institute of Geophysics, or a magnitude of 6.8 according to the United States Geological Survey.
The latest provisional report from the Moroccan government shows almost 3,000 dead, while the official number of injured exceeds 5,500.
