Two people died in Kherson, southern Ukraine, after a series of attacks that occurred this Thursday in six Ukrainian cities, according to official sources.
In addition to the two dead in Kherson, five people were injured, one of them seriously, after an attack on a residential building, according to the regional governor, Oleksandre Prokoudine.
“The Russian army shelled residential areas of Kherson (…) At this moment, we are aware of two civilian deaths,” Prokudine wrote on the Telegram messaging platform.
In kyiv, seven people were injured, including a 9-year-old girl, the Ukrainian capital’s mayor, Vitalii Klitschko, said, noting that residential and commercial buildings were damaged.
At least six attacks hit Kharkiv and damaged civilian infrastructure, regional governor Oleh Syniehubov said. The mayor of this city, in northeastern Ukraine, added that two people were taken to hospitals.
In Cherkasy, in the center of the country, seven people were injured and one person was rescued from the rubble, according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
An industrial area was hit in western Lviv, damaging buildings and causing a fire, but there were no reports of casualties, Klymenko added.
Attacks also took place in the city of Rivne, in the region of the same name in northwestern Ukraine, regional governor Vitalii Koval said, without giving further details.
