The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, arrived in Ottawa this Friday from the United States, where in recent days he participated in the UN General Assembly.
Zelensky’s arrival in the capital of Canada had been announced by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in a message he spread through the official account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“President Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska, welcome to Canada,” Trudeau wrote.
According to a statement from the Canadian Prime Minister’s office, Zelensky will speak in parliament in Ottawa and will travel to Toronto where he will meet with representatives of the private sector to promote investment in the reconstruction of Ukraine, a country invaded by Russia.
Zelensky will also participate in a meeting with the Ukrainian community in Canada.
