Police in Florida, in the United States, have stopped a car driven by a 10-year-old child on the highway. The boy and his 11-year-old sister were arrested in the city of Alachua, Florida.
The car the children were traveling in had been reported missing by their mother in the town of North Port, 200 miles from where it was stopped.
The children were reported missing by their mother early last week. Authorities say the children ran away from home after their mother confiscated their electronic devices.
Police also added that there is no evidence that the children were abused at home.
“Our detectives spoke with the mother, who was clearly doing her best to raise two young children, and she was very receptive to the recommendations they gave her to help her get help.”
The mother drove three hours to the city of Alachua to pick up her children.
