Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov on Monday confirmed rumors that his son Adam beat a detainee accused of burning the Koran.
Ramzan Kadyrov, who governs Chechnya – a member republic of the Russian Federation – is accused by human rights activists of ordering kidnappings and extrajudicial executions.
“He beat him and did what he had to do,” he said on Telegram.
“I am proud of Adam’s actions (…) he implemented ideals of honor and dignity to defend his religion,” he said.
They ask for “severe” punishment
The Chechen leader posted a video in which his son, dressed in khaki, is seen hitting another man.
“I believe that anyone who violates the Holy Scriptures, including those who burn them and offend tens of millions of citizens of our great country, must be severely punished,” Ramzan Kadyrov said.
He called them “a diseased tumor in the body that needs to be cauterized.”
Ramzan Kadyrov publicly released the implication of his sons in the ukrainian conflict, which will soon be announced in March 2022 that he will send three of his sons – Akhmat (16 years), Eli (15 years) and Adam (14 years) – forehead.
