The South Korean and US militaries on Monday began live-fire naval maneuvers and anti-submarine exercises in the Sea of Japan in response to North Korea’s latest actions.
Two maritime patrol aircraft and nine ships, including two South Korean Navy submarines, are taking part in the exercise, which the South Korean Navy said will last until September 27.
