The explosions occurred around 8:15 a.m. local time. This Monday morning three loud explosions were heard in the center of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, AFP journalists said. The air warning sirens sounded but several tens of minutes before the detonations.
These explosions come after a weekend marked by the partial destruction of the bridge connecting annexed Crimea with the rest of Russian territory and the further decline of the Kremlin army in various areas of Ukraine.
Vladimir Putin must convene this Monday morning his security council, which brings together the main ministers, political leaders and representatives of the security services and the Russian army.
