The Minister of Foreign Affairs, João Gomes Cravinho, firmly condemned this Saturday the attack that the Islamic group Hamas launched against Israel from the Gaza Strip during the early hours of the morning.
“We firmly condemn the terrorist attacks launched today against civilians by Hamas. Israel has the right to defend itself,” wrote the head of Portuguese diplomacy in a message on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
João Gomes Cravinho considered that these attacks “will not solve anything”, contributing “only to worsening the situation in the region.”
“We stand in solidarity with Israel and offer our condolences to the victims,” he added.
The Islamic group Hamas launched this Saturday, at 6:30 a.m., an attack against Israel from the Gaza Strip, launching more than 5,000 rockets by air.
