The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MNE) states that it “continues to permanently monitor” the situation of Portuguese citizens in Israel and that it has identified 80 national citizens in the country.
In a statement, the MNE guarantees that “there is no record of Portuguese people directly affected”, but indicates, however, that the number of “national citizens, including tourists and residents, who contacted the Consular Emergency Office has increased at 80”.
The Portuguese used the services to “mark their presence in the territory or request help to identify alternatives for leaving the country,” explains the EMN.
Like other partners of the European Union, the consular services of the MNEs are identifying commercial flights that can be used to leave the country, the ministry note reads.
Through the Portuguese Embassy in Tel Aviv, the MNE “is persistently following the situation, both with regard to the Portuguese and with regard to the evolution of the conflict, also maintaining contacts with local authorities, as well as with other countries, especially the European Union. , he adds.
The MNE also reports that “the service at the Emergency Consular Office has been reinforced”, stressing that “contacts should only be made to these numbers: +351217929714 / +351961706472 (regular telephone calls) or by email [email protected] “.
The government also reiterates the advice to travelers contained in the Portuguese Communities Portal.
