The Israeli representative maintains that “the era of trying to negotiate with these savages” is over.

The UN Security Council only leaves one demand: condemn this “unimaginable atrocity.”
“Israel will make Hamas pay the price so that what we witnessed will not happen again. Yesterday we saw hundreds of Jews being massacred. This is the moment that will never happen again. Israel will retaliate and prevail,” he added.
The Islamic group Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israeli territory this Saturday, called Operation “Al-Aqsa Storm”, with the launch of thousands of rockets and the incursion of armed militiamen by land, sea and air.
In response to the surprise attack, Israel bombed several Hamas facilities in the Gaza Strip from the air, in an operation it called “Iron Swords.”
