A Portuguese woman says the situation in Tel Aviv is better than in the south, but “missiles are arriving”

“It’s complicated.” This is how Portuguese Lídia Cordeiro describes the situation on the outskirts of Tel Aviv, although she admits that it is better than in the south of Israel.

“I am located about 20 or 30 kilometers from Tel Aviv. Things here are not like in the south. They are a little better, but missiles are arriving,” he says TSF the Portuguese who lives in Israeli territory.

For this reason, this Monday Lídia Cordeiro had “to go to a bunker several times”,

“Even today we have had to go to a bunker several times. It is complicated. Everything is closed. The stores do not work. Everything is trapped in the houses,” characterizes the Portuguese.

A C-130 plane of the Armed Forces has already taken off from Portugal towards Tel Aviv to expel the Portuguese from Israel.

“The C-130 aircraft of the Portuguese Air Force already left the Figo Maduro No. 2 transit aerodrome today,” guarantees the Government.

The surprise attack launched on Saturday against Israeli territory by Hamas – a group considered terrorist by Israel, the United States and the European Union – involved the launch of thousands of rockets and the incursion of armed militiamen by land, sea and air.

In response to the surprise attack, Israel bombed several Hamas facilities in the Gaza Strip from the air, in an operation it called “Iron Swords.”

The attacks and the military response left hundreds dead and more than a thousand injured.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is “at war” with Hamas.
