Israeli strikes have killed 13 Israeli and foreign hostages held by Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamist movement said on Friday.
“Thirteen prisoners, including foreigners, were killed in five locations in Gaza targeted by Israeli warplanes,” Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades said. in a statement quoted by the French agency AFP.
According to the American agency AP, the brigades did not provide the nationality of the foreigners.
There was no confirmation from Israel.
Hamas kidnapped more than a hundred Israelis and foreigners on Saturday as it carried out an unprecedented raid on southern Israel.
The attack prompted an Israeli response, bombing the Gaza Strip, an area of 2.3 million people controlled by Hamas since 2007.
Since, More than 1,300 people were killed on the Israeli side and more than 1,500 on the Palestinian side.
