This Monday, the Israeli army arrested 40 suspected terrorists in a series of operations in the West Bank, detaining 360 Palestinians since the conflict began on October 7 with the Islamist movement Hamas.
All those arrested were wanted and at least 20 are part of the Palestinian armed group, the Israeli military confirmed, adding that operations in several parts of the West Bank also resulted in the seizure of several weapons.
In Beit Kahil, the army closed a printing plant that “produced and distributed terrorist materials that incited support for the terrorist organization Hamas,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a message published on the social network X.
In Aqbat Jaber, there were clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinians, who threw Molotov cocktails at soldiers, prompting the army to open fire. A similar scenario occurred in the Deheisha refugee camp.
“The detained people and confiscated war assets have been transferred for further treatment. There have been no casualties among the Israeli forces,” the army said.
Since the Islamist group Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on October 7, 210 Palestinians, believed to be members of Hamas, have been detained in the West Bank.
At least 58 Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in the area, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Hamas has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007 and is classified as terrorist by the European Union, the United States and Israel. Since the start of the conflict with Israel, thousands have been killed and injured in both areas.
