It is in the small city of Haifa, in the north of Israel, near the border with Lebanon, where an underground hospital was born, almost overnight, that promises to resist any type of threat.
With capacity for eight thousand patients and autonomy for several days, the Rambam hospital unexpectedly received the order from the Israeli army to create a fortified unit in the parking lot. The signs came last Sunday, the day after the Hamas attack.
The operation coordinator is proud of the results obtained and does not hide his enthusiasm for having managed to beat the military’s deadlines.
“The goal was that we could complete the construction of the underground building in 72 hours. In less than 36 hours we had finished the work, ready for use. All we need is to receive the order and take the patients down.” she explains. TSF.
But this hospital is not just any building. The objective of this clandestine health unit is to be able to resist any attack from Lebanon.
“We are prepared for any chemical or biological attack. The building is resistant to that. But it is not resistant to atomic attacks,” he adds.
The coordinator also reveals that the secret lies nine meters deep, below sea level. Excluding the scenario of a surprise attack, in total it takes eight hours to transfer all the patients.
“In eight hours we managed to mobilize all the patients downstairs,” says the coordinator.
It is estimated that Hezbollah has around 50,000 warheads with which it can reach northern and central Israel and no air defense system can stop it.
