At least 107 people died in the United States, after Hurricane Ian passed through the southeast of the country at the end of last month, according to the latest report from local authorities.
Only in the state of Florida (southeast), the hardest hit, the authorities registered 102 deaths, while in North Carolina (southeast) five deaths were registered, they indicated.
The last balance of the authorities registered 75 deaths.
US officials said it would take months and at least $50 billion to rebuild Florida’s destroyed coastal areas.
In 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the state of Louisiana (south), causing 1,800 deaths.
