No passport and closed borders. Palestinians in Jerusalem feel trapped

Gaza is the largest prison, but right now all Palestinians have very restricted movements: they only move when and where Israel allows them.

Leila, 39, has her parents and two siblings in the West Bank and has not seen them for almost two weeks, since the borders were closed.

“As I live in Jerusalem, I do not have a Palestinian passport and, like anyone from the West Bank, we cannot leave here,” he explains to TSF.

Leila works at the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees in Jerusalem, but she cannot go to work because she has three children at home, with online classes, whom she cannot leave alone at home.

There is plenty of time to watch death in Gaza every day, all the time, on television. “It’s very sad. I’m very angry, I spend my time crying, the only thing we can do is pray to God. Nothing more.”
