The British Prime Minister describes the attack launched by Hamas on Israeli soil as an “abhorrent act of terrorism.” Upon his arrival in Israel, Rishi Sunak called to avoid an escalation of the war in the region, regretting the deaths of civilians in Israel and Gaza.
“I am in Israel, a nation in mourning. I’m mourning you and I am with you against the scourge of terrorism. This Thursday and always,” she wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter), adding the word “solidarity” in Hebrew.

Upon arrival at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport, Sunak denounced how “a horrible and unspeakable act of terrorism” the October 7 attack by the Islamist movement Hamas against Israeli territory.
After witnessing the “unbearable anguish” of the families, the ruler has no doubt that “Taking a child away from their parents is the worst nightmare you can have” and ensures that the UK is working to free the Hamas hostages.
Having a child taken away from you is a parent’s worst nightmare.

Rishi Sunak has already met with the Israeli president, Isaac Herzog, to whom he conveyed “solidarity.”
“Together we recognize the importance of urgently organizing humanitarian support for Palestinians in Gaza who are also suffering”, indicates in a publication on the social network X.

The British Prime Minister is also expected meet with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu. His visit follows those of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who was in Israel on Tuesday, and of US President Joe Biden on Wednesday.
Since the attack, more than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel, most of them civilians, and 199 have been captured, according to Israeli authorities.
In retaliation, Israel is bombing the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, where at least 3,478 people have been killed, most of them Palestinian civilians, according to local authorities.
