The UN humanitarian coordinator for the Palestinian territories warned this Thursday that “nowhere is safe in Gaza”due to Israeli bombings on the territory since the beginning of war with Hamas.
Lynn Hastings said in a statement that the “previous warnings” issued by the Israeli army for people to withdraw from the areas they intend to reach “make no difference.”
“No place is safe in Gaza”said Hastings, quoted by the French agency AFP.
The war was sparked by the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, which Israeli authorities said left more than 1,400 dead.
Israel promised annihilate the Palestinian Islamist group and has been bombing the Gaza Strip ever since, resulting in more than 6,500 deadaccording to Hamas.
