Russia attacked Odessa’s city center and port infrastructure with missiles and at least 15 drones, wounding five people and damaging buildings and grain export equipment, authorities said Monday.
The information was provided by the head of the military administration of the Odessa region, Oleg Kiper, on the messaging platform Telegram.
Two rockets hit Odesa’s city center and an abandoned industrial building, while the blast wave damaged the Odesa Museum of Fine Arts, a UNESCO World Heritage site, according to the Southern Defense Forces.

“There is a rocket hit on the city center and on an industrial building that was no longer in use,” Kiper wrote, along with a series of photos of the damage, after Sunday evening’s attack.
“Several houses and the National Historical Museum in Odessa, which was built more than 120 years ago, were also damaged,” he added.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the defense shot down a Kh-59 missile and a total of 15 Russian-launched drones against Ukrainian territory.
