Israel announces opening of humanitarian corridor in northern Gaza

The Israeli Army announced this Monday the opening of a new hallway so that Gaza civilians who still remain in the north of the Gaza Strip can move to the south of the enclave.

“For your safety seize the moment to advance south, beyond Wadi Gaza (north)”, said spokesman Avichay Adraee of the Israel Defense Forces, through a message in Arabic published on the social network X.

The spokesperson indicates that The corridor will remain open for a period of four hours.

In the first week of the war, the Israeli Army urged the population of northern Gaza (more than a million civilians) to move to the south of the territory.

Even so, a month after the start of the war, Israeli bombings are indiscriminate throughout the enclave, including the south, and it is estimated that Some 400,000 people still remain in the north..

On Sunday, Israel announced the opening of humanitarian corridors for a few hours, but both Israeli troops and Hamas forces accused each other of attacks in the area.
