US President Joe Biden discussed this Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the “possibility of tactical pauses” by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip to allow Palestinian civilians to escape the fighting.
In a telephone conversation, the two leaders “discussed the possibility of tactical pauses to give civilians the opportunity to safely leave combat zones, ensure that aid [humanitária] reaches civilians in need and allows for the eventual release of hostages,” according to a White House statement.

The war between Israel and Hamas, which this Monday marked 31 days and continues to threaten to spread throughout the Middle East region, has so far left 10,022 dead in the Gaza Strip, including more than four thousand children, and more than 25,400 injured. and around 1.5 million displaced, according to the most recent report from local authorities.
