Alejo Vidal-Quadras, former leader of the Spanish PP and founder of Vox, was seriously injured in Madrid on Thursday after being shot in the head.
According to El Mundo, 78-year-old Vidal-Quadras was taken to hospital and is in serious condition.
The former Vice President of the European Parliament was shot in Núñez de Balboa Street, in Madrid’s Salamanca district, after being punched in the face.

El Mundo writes that Alejo Vidal-Quadras was walking alone on the street when everything happened. He was approached by a motorcycle with two occupants, one of whom shot at him. They then fled along Hermosilla Street.
After being helped at the scene, the former president of the Popular Party (PP) of Catalonia was transported to Gregorio Marañón.
So far, the motives for this attack on Vidal-Quadras are not known, the investigation of which is being carried out by the National Police
