Netanyahu wants “something different” to rule the Gaza Strip

‘There can be no authority headed by someone more than thirty days after the massacre [de 07 de outubro], has not yet convicted him (…). Something else will be needed there. But in any case, our security check will have to take place,” Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech quoted by Agence France Presse.

Netanyahu emphasized that Israel needs “total security control, with the ability to enter whenever you want, to remove terrorists who may resurface.”

“There will be no civil authority that teaches its children to hate Israel, and to hate the Israelites,” he said.

“The next day, Gaza will be demilitarized, there will be no more threats from Gaza against Israel. The October 7 massacre has definitively proven that wherever not under Israeli security control, terror will return,” Netanyahu defended.

The Israeli Prime Minister opined that “this happened in the West Bank”, another Palestinian territory occupied by Israel, where since the start of the war the Israeli army has stepped up raids on towns theoretically under Palestinian control Standing authority.

The West Bank is geographically separated from the Gaza Strip, which has been under continuous bombardment by Israel since October 7 in response to the Hamas attack.

Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized the position he has taken in rejecting the acceptance of a ceasefire and ensuring that his army will continue on the path to defeat and dismantle Hamas.

Netanyahu reiterated that a ceasefire would only be possible if the 239 hostages held in Gaza were all released, and recalled that Israeli authorities are committed to allowing civilians to move from the northern zone to the southern zone of the to leave the enclave.
