Five people died in a house fire in Hounslow, west London, on Sunday evening.
Ruth Cadbury MP, whose constituency includes Hounslow, said there were children among the victims, who the Metropolitan Police said are believed to be from the same family.
One person is still missing.
Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were called to the fire at a property in Channel Close, Hounslow, shortly before 10.30pm on Sunday evening.
The ground floor and first floor of the house, which had a terrace in the middle, were destroyed. Part of the roof was also damaged.
One man managed to leave the home before emergency services arrived and was taken to hospital.
“I am devastated to hear this morning that five people, including children, died in a house fire in Hounslow last night. My thoughts are with the family, friends and neighbours.”wrote Labor MP Ruth Cadbury on X, formerly Twitter.
