Queen on Thursday released “Face It Alone,” a long-lost song recorded with Freddie Mercury more than 30 years ago. The track, originally recorded in 1988 during the recordings of the band’s 13th album, “The Miracle”, did not make it to record and was eventually forgotten.
The song was only discovered when Queen’s archival and production team returned to the studio to work on a new reissue of the album, which will also include some conversations with the band at studios in London and Montreux, Switzerland.
“Face It Alone” is also the first new song the British group has released in eight years. The last time was in 2014, with the album “Queen Forever”, which included three unreleased albums with Freddy Mercury: “Let Me In Your Heart Again”, “Love Kills” and “There Must Be More To Life Than This”.
