Actor Jamie Foxx accused of sexual assault in 2015

A New York state court on Wednesday received a complaint against actor Jamie Foxx, accused of sexual assault that allegedly took place on the terrace of a restaurant in the North American city in 2015.

The complainant accused Eric Marlon Bishop, better known as Jamie Foxx, of touching her without consent after she and a friend approached the actor on a restaurant patio in August 2015.

According to the complaint, Foxx agreed to take a photo, complimented the woman, compared her to actress Gabrielle Union and then grabbed her arm, pulled her away and touched her breast without consent.

In addition, according to the woman, the actor put “his fingers” in her “vagina and anus” until her friend came to her rescue, as one of the Hollywood star’s bodyguards noticed the situation but did nothing.

The plaintiff “suffered injuries, became ill, was in pain, distressed and disabled, and required medical treatment and counseling,” the lawsuit said.which also accuses the restaurant and its owner, Mark Birnbaum, of allowing the attack through alleged negligent behavior by employees.

The lawsuit filed in the New York Supreme Court, a trial court, seeks damages and claims that the alleged victim has been “permanently affected” by the “sexual abuse and aggravated assault” she suffered.

The case was filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which expires Friday, which allows victims to sue alleged sex offenders even if the crimes have already occurred.

At 55, Foxx has taken part in more than 80 films throughout his career – some as famous as Ray, Collateral and Django Unchained – making him one of the most recognizable faces in the Hollywood industry.

In April, Foxx was hospitalized due to a health issue. In July, the actor admitted that he had been through very difficult times, but assured that he was ready to return to work.
