The Israeli government confirmed this Friday the release of 13 hostages, according to the Times of Israel. The first group of hostages, made up of women and children, was freed and handed over to humanitarian workers from the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The Israeli newspaper cites a source that guarantees that those released are in ambulances on the way to Khan Younis, in the south of Gaza, and then go to the Rafah crossing, towards Israel.
The families of the hostages go to the hospitals, where they must be reunited with their families.
Earlier, Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin stated in a social media post that the government had received confirmation that Hamas had released 12 Thai workers detained in the Gaza Strip.
