This Israeli citizen originally from Argentina said he was participating in the demonstration to “ask for peace and an end to the nightmare” that is being experienced in the Gaza Strip, which has been in a period of humanitarian truce for three days.

According to the Jewish charity Community Security Trust (CST), 1,324 anti-Semitic acts were recorded in Britain between the start of the war on October 7 and November 15, a record, compared to the 271 recorded in the same period of the year. last year.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson participated in this march, at the initiative of the Campaign Against Antisemitism organization.

At the beginning of the demonstration, police arrested the founder of the far-right EDL group, Tommy Robinson, who was ordered to leave the scene.

On Saturday, tens of thousands of Britons also took to the streets once again in support of the Palestinians, demanding a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.

For today, the third day of the truce between Israel and Hamas, a new exchange of Hamas hostages for Palestinian prisoners is planned.

The Israeli army estimated the total number of hostages held at 240 and the number of people – the vast majority of them civilians – massacred during the October 7 attack at 1,200.

In the Gaza Strip, the Hamas government claims that nearly 15,000 people, including 6,150 children under 18, were killed by Israeli strikes.
