The Russian Defense Ministry announced this Wednesday that the country’s air defenses repelled a drone attack in the city of Podolsk, about 40 kilometers from Moscow.
“On November 29, at 7:30 am [04h30 em Lisboa]An attempt by the kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using an unmanned aerial device was stopped in the Moscow region, the ministry reported.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin wrote on the Telegram messaging platform that there was no damage or casualties at the site where the debris fell.
Emergency services are at the scene, he added.
Russia launched a full-scale war against neighboring Ukraine more than 20 months ago.
In defense, Ukraine has been bombing Russian territory.
However, the number of victims and damage is insignificant compared to that caused by the Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory.
