German police detained three people after intervening in an argument, with a man resisting arrest and biting a police dog and a woman assaulting one of the officers, the police force revealed on Friday.
Police were called to intervene in an argument between two 29-year-old men and a 35-year-old woman in the city of Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, near Frankfurt.
The trio acted in an “extremely aggressive and uncooperative manner,” police said in a statement.
The agents only managed to subdue one of the men through “the use of force,” he added.
“While resisting arrest, the 29-year-old man also bit a police dog,” the statement said, adding that the canine was not injured.
The 35-year-old woman, on the other hand, punched a police officer in the face, the same source said.
The three involved were arrested and spent the night from Thursday to Friday in the police prison, until they regained sobriety.
