The horror in a neighborhood of Queens, New York. A knife attack left four people dead, including two children, in a house fire this Sunday, December 3.
At a news conference, police said they received a call at 5:10 a.m. from a young woman saying that “her cousin was killing members of her family,” the BBC reports.
Two officers were dispatched to the Far Rockaway area. When they arrived at the indicated address, they were attacked with a knife by a man who hit the first agent in the neck and chest and the second in the head.
One of the officers pulled out his firearm and shot the suspect. Transported to the hospital, the attacker died.

Other officers sent to the scene found an 11-year-old girl injured in the front of the house, which was on fire. She was taken to the hospital but she died from her injuries.
Emergency services later found the bodies of three other people inside the house: a 12-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman and a man in his 30s. A 61-year-old woman was also taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds.
A kitchen knife was found at the scene.
The suspect, Courtney Gordon, 39, had previously been arrested for domestic violence in the Bronx.
