Since September, actor Gérard Depardieu has been facing a sexual assault charge by the actress Hélène Darras, in 2007, which joins the investigation already opened into alleged rape of another actress, the French Prosecutor’s Office (MP) indicated this Wednesday. Darras filed the complaint on September 10 for a alleged sexual assault during recording in 2007.
In an episode of the investigative program “Complément d’enquête”, on public television France 2, which will be broadcast on Thursday and which deals with the various accusations against the actor, Darras accuses Depardieu of touching him when he was 26 years old and acting as an extra in the film “Nos embalos da disco”, by Fabien Onteniente. During the filming of the feature film, Depardieu “put his hands on my hips, on my buttocks” and “he told me clearly: do you want to come to my dressing room?” says the actress, who assures that “nothing has changed” despite the “no” and that he continued touching her.
Before this accusation, the Court had already accused the French film star in December 2020 of rape and sexual assault against the actress Charlotte Arnould, who denounced in August 2018 Two rapes in the actor’s home in Paris.. Since then, several women have accused him, in the press, of sexual violence.
At the beginning of October, Depardieu denied the accusations and denounced a “lynching” carried out by a “media court.”
“I have never abused a woman”, he stated in an open letter published in the French newspaper Le Figaro, in which he assured that he did not “neither a rapist nor a predator”.
