Tel Aviv admits killing three Israeli Hamas hostages “by mistake”

The Israeli military acknowledged that it shot dead three Hamas hostages on Friday after “mistakenly” identifying them as a threat.

Hamas kidnapped some 250 hostages during the October 7 attack on Israel, in which 1,139 people were killed, according to official figures.

Israel’s retaliatory war against the group has killed more than 18,700 people, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry.
