A strong storm caused the deaths of at least 13 people on Saturday in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, which was also partially without power, local authorities said.

Rain caused the roof of the Bahiense del Norte club to collapse during a skateboarding competition, sources said.
“Unfortunately, the emergency service confirms the deaths of 13 people. Firefighters continue to work at the site as people are still missing under the rubble,” the municipality said in a statement.

In addition to the heavy rain, wind speeds of more than 140 km per hour were measured in the city, according to the meteorological service.
The bad weather spread to small nearby towns, with strong gusts of wind and hail.
