Japanese automaker Honda announced this Friday the collection of around 2.6 million vehicles in the United States, due to a fuel pump failure that can cause the engine stops.
The recalled vehicles include SUVs, Jeeps and pickup trucks whose fuel pumps can fail and, if this occurs while driving, can cause the vehicle to suddenly lose power or even stall.
The models in question include the Accord, Civic and Fit.just like him MDX of the luxury brand Acura, although Honda has made sure not having received any accident report related to the defect, according to the Japanese news agency Kyodo.
In Japan, the defect, caused by a pump produced by Denso, led Honda, Toyota and six other companies to recall more than 3.8 million vehicles since March 2020.
