The Hamas Health Ministry announced this Sunday that at least 60 people were killed in an Israeli attack on homes in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry, which had initially reported at least 45 dead, said the Israeli strike had destroyed at least three houses in the Al Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
This death toll could not immediately be confirmed by an independent source. When questioned, the Israeli army stated that it was “verifying” the information.
Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra stated that the attack had destroyed “a block of inhabited houses” and that the death toll “could increase” due to the large number of families living there at the time of the bombing.
Additionally, ten members of the same family were killed today in an Israeli attack on their home in the Jabaliya camp in the northern Gaza Strip, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health.
