At least seven dead in attack on Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza

At least seven Palestinians died Wednesday night after Israeli bombings against the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

In a house in the refugee camp, seven people died and several were injured, according to local sources, cited by the Europa Press news agency.

An unknown number of injuries were also caused by the Israeli bombing of another house in the Al-Zuwaida area of ​​the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli aircraft also launched several strikes against the center of the city of Khan Yunis and against agricultural land north of the city of Rafah in the southern Strip, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.

More than 21,000 Palestinians have been killed, around 54,000 have been injured and thousands have been reported missing since the start of the Israeli operation in the Palestinian enclave on October 7, initiated after the attack by the Islamist movement Hamas on Israeli territory, which caused around 1,200 dead and 240 hostages.

Hamas, in power in Gaza since 2007, is considered a terrorist organization by several countries, including Israel, the United States and the EU.
