The perpetrator of the shooting at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Prague confessed to a double murder in his suicide note before the attack, bringing the number of victims to 17.
According to the BBC, citing the Czech press, the note was found in David Kozak’s home on the day of the university attack and stated that he had murdered a 32-year-old man and his two-month-old daughter. in the Klanovice forest, on December 15, six days earlier. The 24-year-old also killed his father.
Czech authorities have confirmed that David Kozak was on the list of 4,000 suspects in the forest murders and regret that they were not able to reach the perpetrator earlier.
The attack on the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Prague took place on December 21, when David Kozak started shooting from the roof. The young man killed 14 people and injured 25. He committed suicide after being surrounded by police.
Czech authorities continue the investigation, without revealing the motive of the perpetrator of the crimes.
Police have not released a possible motive for the killings but say the investigation is ongoing.
