At least 124 Palestinian children and six Israelis were killed in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem this year, making 2023 the deadliest year on record for children in the area, Unicef reported today.
“This year has been the deadliest for children in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and conflict-related violence has reached unprecedented levels.”according to a report from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
“Conflict-related violence has killed 124 Palestinian children and six Israeli children since early 2023”it needs.
The organization ensures that many of these children end up “They are even afraid to go to school or play outside because of the threat of shootings and other acts of violence related to the conflict”.

The occupied West Bank and Israel are experiencing their most violent year in two decades and so far 522 Palestinians have been killed in violent acts, most of them militia members in armed clashes with Israeli forces and attackers, but also countless civilians.
At the same time, the area saw the proliferation of new Palestinian armed groups, which together with individual attacks caused 41 deaths on the Israeli side, most of them settlers, five of them minors, and seven security forces.
