Three of the four alleged attackers pleaded guilty.

Last night in a Moscow court, three of the four suspected attackers in pre-trial detention pleaded guilty, according to Russian news agencies.

According to images taken at Moscow’s Basmanny court, the suspects were taken one after another to the glass cage reserved for the accused. One of them arrived in a wheelchair, with his eyes closed and accompanied by doctors.

US says ‘no Ukrainian involvement’ in attack

The US government has said there was “no Ukrainian involvement” in the massacre at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, after Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned a link to Ukraine.

“There is no evidence” that Ukraine is involved in the massacre that left at least 137 dead and “IS (Islamic State jihadist group) is responsible,” US Vice President Kamala Harris replied yesterday during a television interview.

“The Islamic State (IS) bears full responsibility for this attack. There was no Ukrainian involvement,” Adrienne Watson, spokesperson for the US National Security Council, added in a statement.

The four alleged attackers placed in preventive detention

The four suspected attackers behind the attack on Crocus City Hall in Moscow, which left 137 dead, were remanded in custody for two months by a court in the Russian capital on Sunday.

The four men are charged with “terrorism” and face life in prison, Moscow’s Basmanny court said in a statement. His preventive detention, set until May 22, may be extended pending his trial, whose date has not yet been set.

Meeting on the Vigipirate plan this morning

“The Prime Minister asked the Secretary General of Defense and National Security, under his authority, to convene [lundi] First thing in the morning, a meeting that will bring together all security services affected by the increase in the level of Vigipirate,” Matignon’s BFMTV learned.
