Two pilots of a Russian Su-30 fighter jet were killed on Sunday during a test flight when their plane crashed into a house in the Siberian city of Irkutsk, according to the local governor.
“Both pilots died,” said Igor Kobzev, through his Telegram social network account, noting that no injuries were reported among the locals.
The plane crashed into a two-story private house where two families live, the official said, adding that “the plane was making a test flight.”
Quoted by Efe, Igor Kobzev said that the Russian Investigative Committee opened criminal proceedings, as is usual in these situations, and that the aircraft did not carry ammunition.
