Ukraine announced on Friday that it had restored 88 towns in the Kherson region, in the south of the country, at a time when the pro-Russian occupation administration is evacuating thousands of civilians over this counter-offensive.
“Kherson region: 88 places restored,” Kirilo Timoshenko, adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, revealed on the social network Telegram.
After this Ukrainian counter-offensive in that region, the Russians accuse Ukrainian troops of being responsible for the deaths of two journalists from the local television channel TV Tavria. The information was revealed by the Deputy Governor of the Russian occupation in the Kherson region, Ekaterina Gubareva.
Even before this updated information, Alexander Malkevich, deputy head of the Russian intelligence development committee, had said that it was a nighttime attack on a bridge in Kherson and that 10 journalists had been injured.
One of the two fatalities will be a Russian television producer.
Kiev authorities have already come to deny the attack.
