An “in-depth investigation” is needed to understand “why” the Renfe controller “made this decision”, acknowledged, also this Thursday night, the Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, questioned on public television.
On Twitter, former Catalan President Carles Puigdemont’s chief of staff, Josep Lluis Alay, tried to put a political spin on the incident, recalling that the children were from Catalonia.

In the face of criticism, Renfe assured that it had opened an “internal investigation to clarify the facts.” “It is the first time that a measure of this type has been taken,” he assured, referring to an “exceptional” decision.
