Lula da Silva, who has already served two terms between 2003 and 2011, is now returning to the Planalto Palace. The inauguration is scheduled for January 1, 2023.

The former trade unionist will have as vice president Geraldo Alckmin, of the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB), who had already been his opponent in the 2006 presidential elections, then for the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB).
