Israel says it attacked 300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in the last 24 hours

The Israeli army claims to have attacked around 300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon this Monday, October 21. The IDF has expanded its offensive against the Islamist movement by targeting its financial interests.

The Israeli army announced this Monday, October 21, that it had attacked around 300 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in 24 hours, after expanding its offensive against the pro-Iran group by targeting its financial system. For the first time in a month, the Ouzai district in Beirut’s southern suburbs came under attack by the IDF.

The attacks near the Hariri hospital, the country’s largest public facility, left at least four dead and 24 wounded, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The latter denounced “war crimes that do not respect any humanitarian and international law.”

Attacks against the financial interests of the Islamist movement

The ministry had previously reported six people dead, including a child, in Baalbeck in the east, and four Hezbollah-linked rescuers killed within 24 hours in the south in Israeli raids.

The Israeli military claimed to have attacked an Islamist group’s bunker containing “tens of millions of dollars” as part of a “series of precision strikes against Hezbollah’s financial interests.” The IDF did not specify the location of this bunker.

Previously, the Hebrew State had indicated that it had attacked about 30 targets linked to the Al-Qard al-Hassan financial organization, close to Hezbollah, against which it began attacks throughout Lebanon on Sunday.

For its part, the Lebanese Islamist group claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks against an Israeli intelligence service base in the “suburbs of Tel Aviv.” The pro-Iran group also claims to have attacked Israeli soldiers in Aita el-Chaab, on the Lebanon-Israel border.
