Visiting Jerusalem yesterday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called on Israel to “take advantage” of the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinouar to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.
He also urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take “additional measures” to allow humanitarian aid, controlled by Israel, “to reach civilians from one end to the other” of the Strip.
This is the US Secretary of State’s eleventh visit to Israel since the start of the conflict.
