Hostages in Gaza: Israeli businessman offers $100,000 to anyone who frees a prisoner alive

The CEO of the Sodastream company, Daniel Birnbaum, launched a call for help on social networks this Monday, October 21. The Israeli businessman offers $100,000 to anyone who frees a Hamas hostage held in Gaza.

Their offer, which dates back to October 21, circulated on social media. Israeli businessman Daniel Birnbaum, director of the world-famous company SodaStream, has decided to offer anyone who frees a Hamas hostage in Gaza the sum of $100,000.

This proposal, aimed primarily at Gazans, will only be valid until midnight on Wednesday, October 23, local time.

In recent days, the Israeli government has dropped thousands of leaflets on Gaza; leaflets on which was written the promise of amnesty to anyone responsible for the release of a hostage.

“Nothing replaces real politics”

A late and limited approach for the relatives of prisoners who demand a great initiative at the national level. A point that Daniel Shek, director of the Hostage Families Forum, returned to at length on BFMTV.

“Nothing replaces a real policy aimed at reaching an agreement with Hamas. It remains to be seen whether the government will now do everything possible to reach an agreement,” confesses Daniel Shek.

For many, the priority of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government so far has not been so much to free the hostages as to locate Hamas members.

“The goal of eliminating Hamas and its leader has been achieved,” Netanyahu said last week and also said that from now on, his priority is to find the hostages, he told i24News’ Paris correspondent BFMTV.
