A dramatic result. Thirteen people died in a fire at a cafe in Russia, in the town of Kostroma, about 300 kilometers from Moscow, Russian agencies announced on Saturday.
“According to initial information, the fire claimed 13 lives,” regional governor Sergei Sitnikov said on the Telegram social network.
250 people evacuated
The fire, which occurred in a cafe called “Poligon” on the night of Friday to Saturday, was extinguished at dawn, said the governor, reporting five injuries.
According to the emergency services, the fire spread over an area of 3,500 m2.
The Ria-Novosti agency, citing a police source, said 250 people were evacuated from the building where the fire broke out.
