The former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, again signaled on Sunday that he intends to run for the 2024 presidential election for the Republican Party.
During a rally in Miami-Dade County, South Florida, Trump said he ran twice and “won twice,” alluding to the 2016 and 2020 elections, the latter of which he lost to the current US President Joe Biden, although he continues to repeat, without evidence, that there was electoral fraud.
“And now, for our country to be successful and safe and glorious, I’ll probably have to do it again, but stay tuned,” the former president told his supporters, who were clamoring for “another four years.”
The former president was featured in a Republican campaign rally alongside Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who is seeking re-election in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
The Cuban-born senator, who has a relative advantage over his Democratic opponent, Florida Congresswoman Val Demings, stressed that South Florida voters “have seen what socialism, communism and Marxism can do and they don’t they will lose in this country.
Trump praised Rubio, who has held one of the two seats in the Florida Senate since 2011, and highlighted the joint work they have done during his tenure to toughen US policy towards Cuba and reduce taxes.
