The Ukrainian air force accused Moscow of having fired an intercontinental missile against its country this Thursday, November 21. The Russian “crazy neighbor” uses Ukraine as a “testing ground,” denounced Volodymyr Zelensky.
The use of this type of missile, if confirmed, would be the first in a conflict in history. And it would mark a new escalation, as Russia had said it was preparing an “appropriate” response to Ukraine’s use of Western missiles on Russian territory, which Moscow had described as a red line.
Intercontinental missiles are designed to carry nuclear warheads and attack from thousands of kilometers away. Neither the Kremlin nor the army have commented on this Ukrainian accusation, for the moment.
“It despises dignity, freedom and human life in general”
“All its characteristics: speed and altitude are those of an intercontinental ballistic missile. The experiment is underway,” said Volodymyr Zelensky in a video published on Telegram.
“Today our crazy neighbor has once again shown what he really is and how much he despises dignity, freedom and human life in general and how afraid he is,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.
“It is obvious that Putin is using Ukraine as a testing ground,” he continued in his speech.
Before adding: “He is so afraid that he is already using new missiles.”
Volodymyr Zelensky, concluding his speech, stated that, according to him, Vladimir “Putin is ready to do anything to prevent his neighbor from escaping his clutches,” after almost three years of Russian invasion of Ukraine.
